In 2010, Karl released Camino Rio’s first live DVD, “Camino Rio Live at St. Rocke”, adding to his two available CD’S, “Mar De Vida”, and “Zafiros en la Noche” EP. The video is exemplary fare, from the rhythm section with Conguero David Leach, and Mick Linden on bass, to dancer-palmas performers Janice Guerrero and Kaz Nagano. Currently, the ensemble is joined by Flamenco Dancer Victoria Romero.
On the Redondo Beach Pier, the famous BriXton South Bay engaged us twice. Camino Rio primed the audience for the great PONCHO SANCHEZ as well as RAUL MALO. We brought the house down! Also in 2010 Camino Rio shared the stage with Award Winning Latin artists: ‘LOS PINGUOS’, and ‘KLEBER LUCAS’ (Grammy nominee).
The Redondo Beach Pier Summer Concert Series saw enthusiastic audiences joining us for a third year in a row for a nice sunset-lit evening concert. Many people felt the urge to join our dancers. We look forward to large crowds again this August.
Karl’s Camino Rio played three highly successful standing-room only shows in Orange County. The San Juan Capistrano Library Concert Series was an absolute highlight of the year. Room capacity was 100% and the rousing audience brought us back for two encores!
